Anton Torelló i Ros Studied with:  Pedro Valls

Played for: Principal bass in the Philadelphia Orchestra from 1914 to 1948. 

Comment: First bass instructor at Curtis. He was the father of Carl and William who both played in the Philadelphia Orchestra. Carl played for about 48 years and Philadelphia and William who retired from playing in the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
